Vice President or Principal, Commercial Finance, Originations

Ares Management is seeking a Vice President or Principal to join its originations team on the Ares Commercial Finance (ACF) Group in the Northeast. ACF leverages the scale and flexible capital of the Ares platform to provide innovative asset-based and cash flow solutions to small and middle-market companies, as well as asset-backed facilities to specialty finance companies.

The role involves utilizing existing networks and networking skills to originate viable new business opportunities, analyzing and structuring new business opportunities for credit approval, and serving as the primary contact between prospects and the legal department for NDAs.

Key responsibilities include originating new commercial finance opportunities across the Northeast, structuring asset-based lines of credit (working capital, bridge, turnaround, acquisition, and DIP financing), analyzing credit packages, preparing pre-clear memos for credit committee review, and managing the full deal lifecycle from prospect identification through closing.

ACF has the ability to structure and agent deals to support the growth and changing capital needs of its clients. The team uses a combination of specialized credit and collateral monitoring to provide clients with flexibility and greater credit availability. Senior ACF investment professionals have on average over 30 years of experience in commercial finance and asset-based lending.
