Senior Associate, European Real Assets Debt Capital Markets

Role Overview

Ares Management is recruiting two Senior Associates for its Debt Capital Markets team in London. The team sources and executes debt financing for the firm's European real assets equity strategies, spanning commercial real estate and infrastructure/project finance.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist lead originators throughout the new borrowing lifecycle: RFPs, lender correspondence, financial modelling, facility agreement/security documentation negotiation, and drawdown processes

- Provide advice and recommendations on watch-listed and non-performing loans

- Conduct forward-looking monitoring of loan performance against underwriting standards and business plans

- Support the lender credit function on concession/waiver requests from borrowers

- Act as liaison between internal teams and external parties (legal, valuers, property managers, lenders)

- Monitor market developments and trends and assess their impact on the firm's facilities

Qualifications

- At least 6 years of experience in commercial real estate debt or infrastructure/project finance

- Familiarity with secured loan and security finance documentation, interest rate hedging, and transactional banking matters
