Working Chairman - Buy-and-Build PE Platform

0-8 Capital, a Munich-based private equity firm specializing in buy-and-build strategies across the D-A-CH region, is seeking a Working Chairman for its portfolio platform. This is an executive mandate for a senior investment professional with real operational and governance authority.

The Working Chairman will work alongside management and the investment team across the following areas:

Governance and Board Leadership: Provide structured oversight and decision-making authority at the platform level. Ensure discipline, accountability, and strategic clarity across the portfolio.

Capital Allocation and Formation: Identify and activate capital sources. The ideal candidate brings an existing investor network and the ability to unlock committed or discretionary capital for acquisitions and working capital needs.

Acquisitions and Structuring: Lead or co-lead acquisition processes, including deal origination, structure, and execution across management buyouts and add-on acquisitions consistent with the buy-and-build thesis.

Deal-Flow Across D-A-CH: Source and qualify deal-flow in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The ability to move quickly on proprietary opportunities is valued over broad-market coverage.

Value Creation: Work closely with management teams in owner-led environments. Support operational improvement, strategic repositioning, and exit readiness.

Candidate Profile: Relevant backgrounds include private equity, principal investing, family office investment management, and restructuring or capital formation in transaction-heavy settings. Prior experience as a board chairman or non-executive director in deal-intensive environments is highly desirable.
