About This Role

Turn/River Capital, a San Francisco-based private equity firm with $5.6 billion in committed capital, is seeking an Investment Associate to join its growing investment team. Turn/River applies a proprietary growth engineering strategy to investing in software businesses, partnering with companies to accelerate growth through hands-on operational support.

Founded in 2012, Turn/River invests globally with a primary focus on North America and Europe. The firm's team consists of equal parts investors and operators, providing both flexible capital and systematic support to scale marketing, sales, and customer success at portfolio companies.

As an Investment Associate, you will facilitate investment transactions and provide strategic operational support to portfolio investments. Responsibilities include sourcing opportunities by connecting with target companies and CEOs, building financial models and writing investment memorandums, conducting deep due diligence on software businesses, assisting senior partners through the deal-making process (including working with lawyers, accountants, and consultants), and participating in board meetings post-investment to improve portfolio company operations.

The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution and brings 1-3 years of investment banking experience, ideally within a Software or Technology group, or prior growth/private equity experience. Experience with SaaS, software, or subscription businesses is essential, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to manage complex workstreams simultaneously.

The position is based in San Francisco on a hybrid work model, with a base salary of $280,000 to $290,000 annually.
