Deal Origination Associate

The Anderson Group, a Tampa Bay-based private equity firm specializing in turnarounds, special situations, and recapitalizations, is seeking a driven, entrepreneurial Deal Origination Associate to build the pipeline that fuels investment activity.

Role Overview

This is a high-volume, phone and email-first role focused on building relationships with transaction advisors and generating deal flow. Success depends on persistence, professionalism, and becoming a trusted contact across the intermediary community.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct high-volume outbound outreach to transaction advisors (investment bankers, restructuring advisors, business brokers, attorneys, and accountants), positioning the firm as a reliable buyer for their deal flow

- Build and work through targeted prospect lists across industries and geographies aligned with the firm's investment criteria

- Execute consistent, multi-touch follow-up cadences across calls and emails to move conversations forward

- Set qualified introductory meetings and manage warm handoffs to senior deal professionals

- Conduct initial conversations with advisors to understand financial situations, ownership structures, and appetite for transactions

- Apply knowledge of financial concepts such as EBITDA and enterprise value to assess investment criteria fit

- Prepare brief opportunity summaries for internal review and presentation at weekly firm meetings

- Maintain CRM records of all outreach activity, conversations, and opportunity status
