Private Equity Investment Professional

Swiss Re's Group Asset Management is seeking a Private Equity Investment Professional to join its dedicated Private Equity & Real Estate unit, which oversees a ~USD 4 billion portfolio of private equity assets. This is a hands-on investment role within a small, collaborative team focused on private equity, opportunistic credit, infrastructure, secondaries, and co-investments.

Key responsibilities include staying abreast of financial markets and investment trends to inform asset class strategy and pipeline planning, conducting due diligence and evaluation of new investments across fund, secondary, and co-investment opportunities, preparing high-quality investment proposals, and monitoring the existing portfolio through fund reporting analysis and manager meetings. The role also involves collaboration with internal partners on portfolio analytics, financial reporting, and risk management, as well as building meaningful relationships with private equity industry contacts.

The ideal candidate holds a college degree and 2–3 years of relevant experience in private equity, investment management, consulting, corporate finance, or M&A. CFA or similar qualifications are a plus. Strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and excellent English communication skills are essential. Proficiency in MS Office is required; familiarity with Bloomberg and financial software is a plus.

The position is based in New York and requires at least three days in the office per week. Estimated base salary: USD 112,000–168,000. The role is not eligible for full-time telework or visa sponsorship.
