Investment & Formation Operations Lead

super{set} is a San Francisco-based venture studio that conceives, funds, and builds companies from formation through scale. Unlike traditional venture capital firms, super{set} co-founds companies alongside founders and remains deeply involved in strategy and operations throughout the portfolio lifecycle, which spans AI-native software, fintech, and developer tooling.

As Investment and Formation Operations Lead, you will work directly with a General Partner to drive the full lifecycle of investment decision-making and company formation. This is a high-agency role that blends executive-level strategy with hands-on execution, requiring someone who can operate fluidly across both dimensions.

Your responsibilities span three core areas. First, you will manage the investment pipeline by conducting screening and first-pass diligence, synthesizing investment memos to enable fast, well-reasoned decision-making for the GP. Second, you will lead the studio Signal program, orchestrating the early-stage operating cadence and formation mechanics for new companies within the studio, including cap table management, seed-stage formation, and strategic positioning. Third, you will partner directly with founders on critical commercial challenges, pressure-testing business models, refining investor pitch decks, and sharpening go-to-market strategies.

This in-person San Francisco role is well-suited to candidates with experience in high-intensity environments including venture capital, management consulting, investment banking, or early-stage startup operations. You bring strong commercial and analytical instincts, can read financial models and spot weaknesses in complex business plans, and pair that analytical rigor with exceptional organizational skills and a no-task-too-small attitude.
