Role Overview:

SWIB is hiring a Private Equity Analyst to join its Private Markets & Funds Alpha Division in Madison, Wisconsin. The analyst will work directly alongside the Head of Private Equity, Portfolio Managers, and senior Investment Analysts to source, evaluate, and underwrite prospective investments across SWIB's two private markets portfolios.

Private Equity Portfolio ($18B): Focused on global buyout, growth equity, and co-investments. SWIB targets U.S. and Western European small and middle-market buyout funds and growth equity funds across the private equity spectrum.

Current Return Portfolio ($4B): Covers senior and mezzanine loan funds (performing credit), distressed debt funds (non-performing credit), secondary funds, yield-driven strategies, and co-investments including equity and/or debt alongside GP partners.

Key Responsibilities include sourcing and screening fund managers and co-investment opportunities, performing due diligence, financial modeling, and investment analysis, preparing investment memos and presenting recommendations to the investment committee, and monitoring existing portfolio companies and fund relationships.
