Vice President - IFRS Technical Accounting

SoftBank seeks an accounting professional with extensive IFRS expertise to join their Finance team. The role focuses on complex accounting and deal-structuring matters in a fast-paced investment environment, supporting accounting policies and financial integrity frameworks while advising on live transactions. Key responsibilities include serving as IFRS technical expert on derivatives, business combinations, revenue recognition, and emerging accounting issues; reviewing contracts and assessing accounting implications for complex transactions; partnering with investment teams on deal accounting evaluations pre-execution; maintaining IFRS-compliant accounting policies and procedures; leading auditor engagements and resolving technical inquiries; evaluating and implementing new accounting standards; participating in financial statement close processes. Requirements: Advanced degree in Accounting/Finance with active CPA and/or CFA, 10+ years progressive experience from Big 4 FAAS/TAS or PE/asset management technical accounting roles, deep IFRS/US GAAP and SEC reporting expertise, NetSuite and advanced Excel proficiency.
