Investment Associate

SoftBank Investment Advisers is recruiting an investment associate to join its deal team. The role involves active participation in evaluating, structuring, and financing technology sector transactions while monitoring portfolio performance. Team members operate within an entrepreneurial and fast-paced environment with regular exposure to senior leadership. Key responsibilities include financial modeling, due diligence activities, and deal negotiation work. Associates will identify promising investment opportunities and present findings to executives. The role requires managing comprehensive analytical projects, understanding market context, and delivering structured recommendations to senior stakeholders. Additional duties include monitoring existing portfolio companies, identifying emerging technology trends, and supporting strategic initiatives within those companies. Candidates need minimum 2+ years in investment banking, consulting, or private equity backgrounds. Strong financial modeling expertise is essential, along with demonstrated strategic and analytical capabilities. The ideal candidate exhibits exceptional strategic, analytical, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills combined with self-motivation and comfort navigating ambiguity.
