Private Equity Associate

Seaside Equity Partners, founded in 2017, is a San Diego-based private equity firm focused on investing in lower middle-market business services companies headquartered in the Western U.S. The firm focuses on majority control investments in family and founder-owned businesses, partnering with management teams to accelerate growth and transition businesses to institutional quality. Since inception, Seaside has completed over 75 transactions. In 2025, the firm closed two new buyout funds—Fund III ($568M) and Navigator I ($155M)—raising more than $720 million in total commitments, with both funds significantly oversubscribed. The Associate will be involved in all aspects of the investment process including executing platform and add-on acquisitions, monitoring and managing portfolio companies, and sourcing new opportunities. Associates work directly alongside senior investment professionals and gain significant exposure to deal execution, financial modeling, due diligence, and portfolio management. Strong candidates will have prior investment banking or private equity experience, solid financial modeling skills, and a genuine interest in lower middle-market buyouts.
