Development Director - Renewable Energy (California)

Company Our client is a leading renewable energy developer and operator, holding a large portfolio of assets spanning across North America. Due to continued success they are looking to expand their team and hire a Development director. Role Use data-driven software to identify prospective utility-scale project sites and manage land acquisition efforts, including direct negotiations and coordination with external agents Direct all aspects of project development, including land acquisitions, permitting, environmental studies, public hearings, and stakeholder relationship management Collaborate with various departments to identify project risks, implement solutions, and optimise project value Represent the company, engaging with stakeholders Requirements Over 4 years of project development experience in utility-scale renewable energy (ideally focused in solar or BESS) Strong communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders Proven experience leading local and/or state permitting processes Relevant Batchelors degree
