Investment Analyst

The National Electrical Benefit Fund (NEBF) and National Electrical Annuity Plan (NEAP), multiemployer pension and retirement plans with approximately 693,000 and 182,000 participants respectively, are seeking an Investment Analyst at their Washington, DC investment office.

About the Organization

NEBF was established in 1946 through an agreement between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). NEBF Investments manages the Plans' assets and this position is a shared resource between both Plans. The office is located in Washington, DC with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days per week on-site.

Role Overview

The Investment Analyst will report directly to the Director of Investment Operations and have a broad range of responsibilities across public and private market asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather information and data from multiple sources to develop and maintain current knowledge of investment market conditions

- Analyze and evaluate investment opportunities across public and private market asset classes

- Assist in the development and implementation of investment strategies

- Identify and evaluate suitable external investment management firms

- Provide oversight of investment managers, performance analysis, and compliance

- Participate in asset allocation studies

- Maintain databases and prepare spreadsheets

- Monitor the Plans' asset allocation and investment performance, prepare monthly cash flow forecasts, and implement investment rebalancing as needed

- Assist in coordinating investment transactions including capital calls and transfers
