Vice President - Private Equity

Monroe Capital is seeking a highly driven Vice President to lead value creation across its portfolio. Monroe Capital is a Chicago-based private credit and private equity asset manager known for its middle-market lending and equity investing. The VP will serve as a bridge between investment execution and operational transformation, working directly with management teams and Boards to accelerate growth, improve profitability, and enhance cash flow performance.

This is a hybrid role based in Chicago (4 days/week in office). Key responsibilities include partnering with management teams to design and execute strategic and operational value-creation plans, leading key initiatives that deliver measurable EBITDA and cash-flow improvements across assigned portfolio companies, developing and monitoring detailed financial models and KPI dashboards, recruiting and mentoring key portfolio executives, and providing structured updates to Monroe's leadership and investment committees.

The role requires 5+ years of professional experience including at least 3 years in private equity or principal investing, a proven track record leading operational transformations or turnarounds, strong analytical and financial acumen (including 3-statement models and 13-week cash forecasts), and willingness to travel to portfolio companies 30-60%.
