VC Investor

Intuitive Ventures, the venture arm of Intuitive Surgical — the global pioneer in minimally invasive care and robotic-assisted surgery — is seeking an experienced VC Investor to join its investment team in Menlo Park, CA. This role bridges the Associate and Partner levels, and will play a leadership role in identifying, evaluating, and managing investments in the MedTech and HealthTech sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Source, identify, and evaluate investment opportunities across MedTech, HealthTech, and adjacent sectors

- Lead comprehensive due diligence processes, including scientific, clinical, regulatory, and commercial assessments

- Lead negotiations with founders, portfolio companies, and co-investors

- Provide portfolio company support through active board participation and strategic guidance

- Develop investment theses, market maps, and sector analyses

- Collaborate with Intuitive Surgical's business units to identify strategic synergies

- Mentor and develop junior investment team members (Associates and Analysts)

- Represent Intuitive Ventures at industry conferences, academic institutions, and ecosystem events

- Up to 30% travel required

Qualifications:

- 7–10 years of progressive experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, or business development with a focus on healthcare or life sciences

- Bachelor's degree required (scientific background preferred); advanced degree strongly required (MD, PhD, or MBA from a top institution)

- Track record of successful healthcare investments and rigorous due diligence

- Experience leading scientific and regulatory assessment processes

- Deep understanding of the MedTech industry landscape, competitive dynamics, and regulatory pathways

- Strong financial modeling and valuation proficiency

- Leadership skills and proven entrepreneurial drive

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
