Associate, Real Estate Secondaries

Ares Secondaries, a market leader across GP-led, LP-led, and preferred equity structured transactions with more than 150 professionals across six offices, is hiring an Associate to join its Real Estate Secondaries Investment Team in Boston. The role evaluates real estate secondary investment opportunities through due diligence, market research, benchmarking, and financial modeling, and analyzes real estate limited partnership interests, GP-led transactions, and continuation vehicles across multifamily, industrial, office, retail, hospitality, self-storage, data center, and other real estate asset classes. The Associate prepares and presents investment recommendations to investment committees, supports transaction execution, portfolio monitoring, asset management oversight, and valuation analysis of existing investments, and builds relationships with real estate fund sponsors, operating partners, and advisors. Candidates need 2-4 years of experience in real estate secondaries, real estate private equity, investment banking, or principal investing, with strong financial modeling skills including DCF analysis, NAV analysis, portfolio valuations, and fund waterfall structures. The role reports to the Managing Director, Secondaries.
