Managing Director, Cold Storage

High Country Private Equity Search is recruiting a Managing Director to lead the establishment of a cold storage investment vertical for a private equity real estate firm in New York. This executive role involves developing and executing strategy for deploying capital across current fund vehicles and Fund III, with the goal of creating a dedicated sector-specific cold storage investment vehicle within 24-36 months.

The MD will have full operational and strategic leadership responsibility for cold storage assets, combining top-down sector strategy development with hands-on capital deployment responsibilities. Key responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating cold storage acquisition opportunities, managing asset operations, building industry relationships, and working with investment committee and portfolio management teams.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of senior industrial real estate experience with a deep specialization in cold storage assets, ideally from a developer-operator or REIT background. Experience with institutional-grade PE real estate investment platforms, deal structuring, and capital deployment across industrial logistics assets is strongly preferred.
