Associate (Venture Investor) — Heartland Ventures
Heartland Ventures ($100M+ AUM, $60M Fund III) seeks an Associate in Chicago or New York. The firm uses a unique network of 150+ industrial business owners to identify early-stage technology companies in manufacturing, logistics, construction, and real estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Deal sourcing: identify opportunities and build founder/investor relationships
- Due diligence: market research, financial analysis, reference calls
- Prepare investment memos, presentations, and theses
- Support deal structuring and negotiations
- Portfolio monitoring and value creation
Requirements
- 2-6 years in VC, CVC, IB, consulting, or startups
- Strong analytical and relationship-building skills
