Associate, Infrastructure and Real Asset Finance (Data Center Finance)

Goldman Sachs Global Banking and Markets is seeking an Associate for its Capital Solutions Group, specifically for the growing Data Center Finance team within Infrastructure and Real Asset Finance. The Capital Solutions Group advises, structures, and executes complex financings for data center developers and users across project finance loans and project bonds, including principal lending investments. The team operates across the AI and digital infrastructure ecosystem, working closely with investment banking, power financing, chip financing, ABS, CMBS, leveraged finance, equity capital markets, and risk management teams.

The Associate role combines elements of classic investment banking, project finance, real estate finance, and credit investing. Associates execute financing transactions for data center development projects including project finance and construction loans, bridge loans, and project bonds. They advise developers and hyperscalers on data center strategy and financing alternatives, analyze key project documents including data center leases, development agreements, and power agreements, and build detailed financial models and credit and returns analyses.

Additional responsibilities include coordinating transaction diligence with external parties (legal counsel, technical advisors, appraisers, environmental and insurance advisors), preparing client materials, investment committee memos, and lender/investor presentations, managing and mentoring Analysts, and supporting deal origination and client relationships.

The role provides significant product and sector expertise in data center and digital infrastructure finance, one of the fastest-growing segments of the private credit and infrastructure investment markets. Associates benefit from direct client engagement and exposure to senior Goldman Sachs leadership across multiple product and coverage teams.
