Asset & Wealth Management, Private Equity, Associate – Energy Transition

Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Private Equity business makes direct equity investments across North America and Europe, focusing on buyouts and control investments. The firm seeks to maximize investment value through operational and financial value creation, targeting long-term capital appreciation in companies with strong management teams.

The Associate will join the Energy Transition team, whose areas of focus include clean energy solutions, equipment, service and technology providers for the power grid, energy efficiency, resource circularity, and water lifecycle management solutions. The team targets investments ranging from 5 million to 00 million per investment, with the ability to invest over billion.

The role involves all aspects of private equity investing: building and maintaining comprehensive financial models, researching and assessing investment opportunities, developing investment theses, conducting due diligence (coordinating with third-party advisors), participating in investment approval processes, and supporting a wide range of transactions including leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, add-on acquisitions, build-ups, restructurings, recapitalizations, and dispositions.

Candidates will work directly with Managing Directors, Vice Presidents, and Associates on small sector-focused teams responsible for acquisition and portfolio management of investments.
