Investment Principal

Contour Venture Partners, a New York-based seed-stage venture capital firm, is seeking an Investment Principal to join its investment team. Contour focuses on Enterprise Software, vertical B2B SaaS, and Fintech — partnering with founders building transformative companies from the earliest stages. The firm's portfolio includes a wide range of technology companies backed at the seed stage.

The Investment Principal will work directly alongside the firm's three Partners, taking a hands-on role across the full investment lifecycle. Responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities; assessing management teams, financial projections, technology roadmaps, and competitive landscapes; conducting thorough due diligence on potential seed-stage investments; providing strategic guidance to portfolio companies with board-level involvement; supporting portfolio management across product development, go-to-market strategy, executive hiring, and fundraising; representing the firm at industry events and conferences; and building relationships within the startup and technology ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of professional experience and a strong foundation in the technology startup world. Operating experience at seed or startup-stage technology companies is required — the firm prioritizes candidates with hands-on operational backgrounds rather than purely financial ones. A deep network within the tech and startup community, knowledge of Enterprise Software or Fintech, and ideally prior founding or building experience are highly valued. An MBA is preferred.
