Director, Fund Finance Lending

BNY (The Bank of New York Mellon) is seeking a Director to join its Credit Services team in New York, NY, focused on Fund Finance Lending. This is a senior lending role within BNY Credit Services organization, working directly with private equity sponsors and alternative fund managers to structure and underwrite a range of fund-level financing solutions.

The Director will lead the structuring and underwriting of loan commitments primarily to unregulated funds managed by financial sponsors. Lending products include Capital Call (Subscription Finance) Facilities, BDC exposures, and facilities with direct recourse to fund portfolios — as well as NAV lending structures. The role requires deep credit expertise and the ability to act as both a technical structurer and a senior client relationship manager.

Key responsibilities include drafting term sheets and reviewing credit documentation, monitoring existing credit portfolios (including investor exposure concentrations and loan reviews), and serving as a direct credit coverage officer for key financial sponsor clients. The Director will also champion strategy expansion opportunities, lead team initiatives to develop fund finance expertise, and identify and implement efficiency improvements within the Lending team.

Requirements: Bachelor degree in Finance or equivalent; MBA preferred. 12+ years of experience in corporate and/or investment banking, with at least 3 years in Capital Call, NAV, or Structured Finance. Strong credit analysis and financial modeling skills. Leadership experience managing and mentoring junior team members.
