Analyst, Private Equity Fund Accounting

HPS Investment Partners, a part of BlackRock, is seeking an Analyst to join its Private Equity Fund Accounting team, based in Princeton, NJ or Wilmington, DE. HPS is a leading global, credit-focused alternative investment manager that provides creative capital solutions and generates attractive risk-adjusted returns across various strategies, including privately negotiated senior debt, junior capital solutions (debt, preferred and equity), liquid credit (syndicated leveraged loans, CLOs, high yield bonds), asset-based finance, and real estate.

Following BlackRock's acquisition of HPS in July 2025, the team operates within BlackRock's new Private Financing Solutions (PFS) business unit. The PFS unit combines BlackRock's institutional client relationships with HPS's diversified origination platform.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support fund accounting operations for private equity and private credit strategies

- Prepare and review NAV calculations, financial statements, and investor reports

- Assist with audit processes and annual financial statement preparation

- Collaborate with legal, tax, compliance, and operations teams on fund-related matters

- Support management fee calculations, carried interest waterfalls, and capital call/distribution processes

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

- 1-3 years of experience in fund accounting, public accounting, or financial services

- Experience with private equity, credit, or alternative investment fund structures preferred

- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail

- Proficiency with accounting software, Excel, and financial reporting tools
