Principal / Managing Director, Private Equity Product Specialist (Wealth Management Solutions)

Ares Management is seeking a Principal or Managing Director, Private Equity Product Specialist within its Wealth Management Solutions (AWMS) division in New York. This senior role bridges the firms Private Equity and Secondaries investment teams with the global wealth distribution network, a team of 175+ professionals backing one of the most resourced wealth distribution platforms in the alternatives industry.

The Product Specialist will serve as the primary liaison between Ares Private Equity and Secondaries portfolio managers and the AWMS salesforce, driving strategic direction for PE and Secondaries product distribution in the wealth channel. A key focus will be on Ares semi-liquid Private Equity Secondaries solution, the Ares Private Markets Fund (APMF).

Core responsibilities include partnering with sales to meet financial advisors — through 1:1 meetings, small group sessions, and large-scale presentations — to deliver private equity and secondaries market insights and fund updates. The role also involves headline speaking engagements at industry conferences and serving as first-call resource for sales and marketing teams on PE and Secondaries strategy.
