About This Role

Ares Management, one of the world's leading alternative investment managers with approximately $450 billion in assets under management across credit, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure, is seeking a highly motivated Associate to join its Corporate Strategy Group focused on SPAC vehicles and associated investments.

The Associate will support Ares Acquisition Corporation (AAC), Ares's SPAC platform that has raised over $1.5 billion across two vehicles: Ares Acquisition Corp. I ($1bn, February 2021) and Ares Acquisition Corp. II ($500mm, April 2023). The team also manages a portfolio of public and private debt and equity investments made in connection with these vehicles, including current portfolio companies X-energy and Kodiak AI (NASDAQ: KDK).

Key Responsibilities: The Associate will be directly involved in all facets of the investment analysis process including opportunity identification, financial modeling, due diligence, industry research, and portfolio monitoring and management. The role reports to the Partner in Strategic Initiatives who serves as Chief Operating Officer of the AAC vehicles. The Associate may also be leveraged by the broader Corporate Strategy team as needed.

Qualifications: Candidates should be highly motivated, detail-oriented team players with strong financial modeling skills and analytical capabilities. Experience in investment banking, private equity, or related fields is preferred. This position offers unique exposure to Ares's executive leadership team and a broad view of the firm's investment activities, with the entrepreneurial environment of a small, high-impact group within one of the world's premier alternative asset managers.
