M&A Director (Cross-Border Transactions)

ARC Group is a boutique investment bank specializing in mid-market, cross-border M&A transactions with a focus on Asia-Pacific deals. The firm is seeking a high-energy M&A Director to lead transactions end-to-end, drive client relationships, and execute deal strategies from inception to closing. The role can be based in Hong Kong or Shanghai.

The M&A Director will take full ownership of mid-market transactions, serving as the primary client contact throughout the deal lifecycle. Responsibilities include overseeing the full deal process—NDAs, data rooms, site visits, and final negotiations—while maintaining process discipline and integrity. The role requires supervising financial models and valuations, ensuring accuracy and quality control of transaction structures, and providing strategic insights to guide negotiations.

Key responsibilities include leading diligence efforts across legal, tax, financial, and technical workstreams from start to closing; managing the pitch process from end to end, including client-ready materials and proposals; and mentoring junior team members to uphold high execution standards.

The firm seeks a candidate with a minimum of 8+ years of experience in M&A, corporate development, or a similar advisory role, and a proven track record of leading cross-border transactions. Strong expertise in valuation, financial modeling, and transaction structuring is required, along with demonstrated experience managing senior stakeholder relationships. Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English is required for effective communication with clients across the region.
