Chief Private Equity Analyst

A prestigious investment firm based in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Chief Private Equity Analyst to drive private equity analysis and contribute to its continued investment success. This senior analytical role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in private equity deal evaluation, financial modeling, and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities include:

Investment Strategy: Leading the development and execution of private equity investment strategies aligned with the firm's overall objectives. Work closely with senior partners to shape the investment thesis and identify priority sectors.

Market Research and Analysis: Conducting in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities in the private equity landscape. Stay current with industry developments and macroeconomic factors that impact portfolio performance.

Deal Evaluation: Assessing potential investment opportunities including financial modeling, valuation analysis, due diligence coordination, and investment committee presentation preparation. Screen inbound opportunities and prioritize based on strategic fit.

Portfolio Monitoring: Tracking the performance of existing portfolio companies, preparing periodic reporting, and flagging operational or financial issues requiring attention.

Team Leadership: Mentoring and guiding junior analysts, setting analytical standards, and ensuring quality of all investment deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience in private equity, investment banking, or related investment roles, with an exceptional track record of deal analysis and execution at a leading firm. CFA charterholder or MBA preferred. Strong financial modeling skills (LBO, DCF) and proficiency with industry-standard tools required.
