Head of Finance & Controlling

THRONSBERG Private Capital Recruitment is seeking a Head of Finance and Controlling on behalf of a fast-growing private equity portfolio company in the wood modular construction sector, headquartered in Northern Bavaria. The firm operates under a long-term evergreen investor model and is executing an active buy-and-build strategy across the German modular construction market, with several acquisitions already completed.

In this senior leadership position, the Head of Finance and Controlling will take full responsibility for building and scaling the finance function in a dynamic, growth-driven environment. The role acts as a key sparring partner to the managing directors and makes a central contribution to value creation across the platform.

Key responsibilities include: building group-wide financial reporting and KPI-based management systems; overseeing accounting processes and monthly closings in coordination with external partners; developing and maintaining budget, forecast and scenario models; supporting M&A processes and integrating newly acquired entities including harmonization of reporting and accounting structures; digitizing and automating finance processes using tools such as Power BI; supporting financing rounds, covenant monitoring and investor reporting; and participating in the selection and implementation of ERP and business systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in finance, controlling or accounting, ideally in high-growth or PE-backed environments, along with at least 2 years of leadership experience. The firm offers a competitive all-in salary of €110,000 to €130,000.
