Vice President, Sourcing & Vetting

A premier growth-oriented middle-market private equity firm based in New York is seeking a Vice President of Sourcing and Vetting to join their investment team.

About the Role

This VP-level position focuses on proprietary deal origination, relationship development, and early-stage investment screening within the PE firm. You will work closely with senior partners to identify and qualify investment opportunities aligned with the firm strategy.

Key Responsibilities

- Originate and identify proprietary investment opportunities aligned with firm strategy

- Build and maintain relationships with deal sources including investment bankers and M&A advisors

- Conduct initial screening and preliminary due diligence on potential investments

- Develop financial models including LBO and DCF analyses

- Prepare investment memorandums for the Investment Committee

- Manage deal pipeline using CRM software

Requirements

- 8-12 years in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or transaction advisory

- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred

- Strong financial modeling and Excel proficiency

- Robust network within investment banking and M&A community

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
