Director of Private Capital - Real Estate

SCI, the Leader in Real Estate Executive Search, has been retained to recruit a Director of Private Capital on behalf of a 40+ year-old multifamily developer with over $3.5 billion in completed projects across the eastern United States and an institutional reputation for quality.

This is a newly created, highly visible role reporting directly to the COO and Director of Capital Markets. The incoming Director will lead private capital raising for 2-4 ground-up multifamily developments annually, building on an established investor network while aggressively expanding it toward a $50M+ annual capital target.

Key Responsibilities: Sourcing and cultivating relationships with HNW individuals, family offices, endowments, and foundations. Overseeing the full fundraising process including offering materials, data rooms, investor onboarding, and ongoing reporting. Building the firms brand and market presence across the private real estate investment community. Developing capital strategy and recommending marketing initiatives tailored to the HNW and family office community.

Key Requirements: Proven private capital raising experience from HNW and family office sources. Multifamily real estate background. CRM proficiency (Juniper Square or similar). Entrepreneurial self-starter comfortable in a high-growth environment. Willingness to travel extensively.
