About This Role

Blue Owl (NYSE: OWL) is a leading alternative asset manager with over $315 billion in assets under management as of March 31, 2026. The firm invests across three multi-strategy platforms — Credit, Real Assets, and GP Strategic Capital — and provides businesses with private capital solutions to drive long-term growth while offering institutional and individual investors differentiated alternative investment opportunities.

This Principal role sits within Blue Owl's Asset-Backed Finance (ABF) Investment Team, part of the Alternative Credit platform. The ABF strategy targets credit-oriented investments in markets underserved by traditional lenders, with deep expertise in specialty finance and equipment leasing. The capital markets function has executed over 50 leverage facilities, including revolving warehouses and private term facilities, along with 4a2 and 144a securitizations representing greater than $10 billion of commitments.

The Principal will play a meaningful role in developing and executing capital markets strategy for the alternative credit business, with a focus on specialty finance and equipment leasing. Core responsibilities include sourcing, executing, and managing investment-level financing for the alternative credit funds, working with deal teams to determine appropriate leverage assumptions and modeling, soliciting and negotiating terms with lenders (including legal documentation), and executing deal closings.

Ongoing responsibilities include monitoring and overseeing the administration of leverage facilities, liaising with rating agencies for timely execution of rated transactions (public and private), and building and maintaining relationships with banks and other financial institutions. The candidate will also support development of enhanced capital markets infrastructure, including improved compliance tracking across facilities.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree with 9-13 years of experience in structured finance, with prior experience at an investment bank, lender, or private credit firm strongly preferred. The role is based in New York with an in-office schedule Monday through Thursday.
