About This Role

Morgan Stanley Private Equity Solutions (MSIM), a team of 80+ investment professionals, is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate for its Operational Due Diligence group in West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The team manages a global program across primary fund investing, co-investing, and secondaries, with over $29 billion invested across approximately 1,300 opportunities as of December 2025.

Role Overview

The candidate will be responsible for researching, analyzing and documenting the operational risk management processes and controls of potential underlying private equity managers. The individual will be involved in various risk management support activities including developing and enhancing the group's approaches to assess and monitor operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate, prepare for, and actively participate in due diligence meetings with senior management of potential and existing private equity managers

- Evaluate operational risks including compliance, legal, IT systems, cybersecurity, business continuity, and financial controls

- Recommend mitigation strategies to private equity managers

- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate fund operations and maintain tracking databases

- Liaise with the in-house legal team to ensure fund managers comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices

- Analyze audited financial statements from underlying funds to identify departures from GAAP or qualified audit opinions

- Coordinate and review background investigations of senior management of PE fund managers and portfolio companies
