Executive Director, Growth & Innovation Fund

Morgan Stanley Growth & Innovation (MSGI) is seeking an Executive Director to lead business development and deal origination for its growth equity strategy in San Francisco.

About MSGI

MSGI is an MSIM strategy targeting late-stage, growth equity investments in scaled, private, high-growth companies in fast-growing technology sectors. The strategy focuses on category-defining companies with large addressable markets and significant long-term compounding potential. MSGI sits within the broader Private Credit & Equity (PC&E) platform, which manages approximately $62 billion across direct private equity and private credit strategies with over 300 professionals globally.

Recent MSGI investments include a leading unified data and AI analytics platform and a frontier AI research and foundational model company.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead all business development efforts and participate in investment decisions alongside the senior leadership team

- Define and oversee the strategy's overall investment sourcing approach to optimize deal flow volume and quality

- Build and leverage professional networks (executives, intermediaries, management teams, investors) and convert relationships into actionable opportunities

- Apply strong commercial instincts to separate interesting from investable opportunities and build credibility with management teams

- Develop and implement marketing activities to intermediaries and targeted companies
