About This Role

MetLife Investment Management (MIM) is hiring an Analyst to join its Private Asset-Based Finance (PABF) team, supporting the origination, execution, and management of primarily investment-grade asset-based finance investments across a wide range of industries and sectors. The Analyst will also support administrative, marketing, and data projects for the PABF team, working closely with colleagues across MIM's Corporates, Infrastructure, Client Portfolio Management, Insurance Asset Management, Institutional Client Group, Sales Derivatives, Investment Operations, Legal, and Compliance functions.

Key responsibilities include supporting underwriting, financial analysis, investment memos, trade execution, and transaction closings, and assisting with Investment Committee materials. The role covers diligence and market analysis work such as preparing presentations, conducting market research, and reviewing offering documents, research, and rating reports. The Analyst will also engage directly with clients and issuers through roadshows, meetings, and due diligence sessions with issuers and sponsors, analyze legal structures and transaction frameworks with guidance from internal and external counsel, and support portfolio management by monitoring deal performance, producing reporting for leadership, and supporting client investment requests.

Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Math, or a related field, strong analytical and quantitative modeling skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel. A CFA charterholder designation, an advanced business or accounting degree, experience with credit underwriting or illiquid structured private placements, and familiarity with Bloomberg and Salesforce are preferred.

MIM is the institutional asset management arm of MetLife, Inc., providing public fixed income, private fixed income, and real estate investment solutions to institutional investors worldwide, with $742 billion in total assets under management as of December 31, 2025. The position is a hybrid role based in Whippany, New Jersey, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. The expected salary range is $100,000-$110,000, plus eligibility for annual short-term incentive compensation and stock-based long-term incentives.
