Associate Direct Lending - Leading Credit Fund

Role Overview

Metis Search is recruiting an Associate for the direct lending team at a tier 1 credit fund focused on middle-market borrowers. The fund has been actively deploying capital since inception across direct lending transactions.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse potential direct lending opportunities across middle market borrowers

- Perform in-depth financial modelling, valuation analysis, and scenario stress testing

- Lead due diligence efforts covering financial, legal, operational, and market aspects of transactions

- Prepare and present investment committee materials with data-driven recommendations

- Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage risk

- Engage with borrowers, sponsors, and advisors to support transaction execution and portfolio oversight

Requirements

- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, private credit, or a similar analytical role

- Strong financial modelling and credit analysis skills

- Ability to think critically and make informed, independent judgments

- Excellent communication skills and team orientation

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA a plus
