Vice President, Real Estate Multi-Family Asset Management (West Coast)

J.P. Morgan Asset Management, the world third-largest alternatives manager with a 40-year legacy of innovative solutions, is seeking a Vice President to join its West Region Asset Management team focused on multifamily real estate.

This role is part of J.P. Morgan Asset Management Real Estate Americas (REA) platform, which invests across the full spectrum of commercial real estate strategies. As Vice President, you will take primary responsibility for asset managing an existing portfolio and pipeline of multifamily properties across West Coast markets, with a focus on value creation and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage deal teams including analysts and associates, coordinating with internal teams (valuations, engineering, research) and external parties (investors, legal, brokers, property management)

- Cultivate a network of partners, brokerage contacts, and third-party operators to source market intelligence

- Own monthly P&L reviews, diagnosing outliers and aligning stakeholders on targeted interventions

- Track and interpret market drivers across assigned geographies—demographics, competitive landscape, pipeline supply, and demand signals

- Assist the acquisitions team with sourcing and underwriting of new acquisitions; perform due diligence to prepare acquisitions for closing

- Build internal consensus on valuations and transactions, communicating with CIO, portfolio management, acquisitions, research, and legal teams

- Lead transaction negotiations and manage disposition processes

The role offers significant exposure to one of the largest institutional real estate portfolios in the country, within an alternatives platform managing assets across real estate, private equity, credit, infrastructure, and hedge funds.
