Vice President, Global Investments

Role Overview

The Vice President, Global Investments will oversee investment strategies across HarbourVest's global portfolio, conducting comprehensive due diligence on primary fund commitments, secondary transactions, and direct co-investments. The role involves analyzing investment opportunities across geographies and asset classes, managing client portfolios, and contributing directly to the firm's investment management initiatives on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead due diligence processes for new investment opportunities including fund commitments and secondary transactions

- Analyze and evaluate risk-return profiles across global private markets strategies

- Manage and monitor portfolio company and fund-level performance

- Collaborate with investment teams across offices to drive strategy and business performance

- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations aligned with client objectives

- Support capital allocation decisions and portfolio construction

Qualifications

- Proficiency in investment management with a strong understanding of global private markets

- Experience in due diligence processes and evaluating investment risks across fund-of-funds and secondaries

- Solid foundation in financial modeling and investment strategies

- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills

- Advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred

- Prior experience managing global investment portfolios or fund-of-funds strategies is a plus
