About This Role

FlyCap Succession Capital is a private equity search fund led by Richard Gotlieb, a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive operational experience. The firm is focused on acquiring and operating a single small to midsize business, backed by high-net-worth entrepreneurs who have successfully grown multiple companies. Unlike conventional private equity acquirers, FlyCap emphasizes long-term stewardship — preserving and enhancing the reputation of acquired businesses rather than pursuing rapid exits. The team is committed to sustainable growth and creating strong development opportunities for employees, partners, and customers.

FlyCap is seeking a Regional Director of Financial Operations to support the firm's acquisition process and ongoing business management. This is a full-time, fully remote position that plays a central role in both the pre-acquisition due diligence phase and post-acquisition operational oversight.

The Director will participate in market and company research, assist with financial and operational analysis, and help prepare presentations, reports, and documentation related to potential and acquired businesses. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with advisors and stakeholders, tracking key performance metrics, contributing to strategic planning and execution, and developing processes and systems to improve operational efficiency. The role requires proactive, self-directed communication and collaboration in a primarily virtual setting.

Qualifications include strong analytical and research skills with experience gathering, organizing, and interpreting business or market data; financial literacy with the ability to understand financial statements, budgets, and performance metrics; clear written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and time management capabilities in a remote environment; and proficiency with common productivity tools. The ideal candidate works independently, exercises sound judgment, and brings genuine interest in small and midsize business operations, stewardship-focused investing, or entrepreneurship. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is expected, or equivalent practical experience.

FlyCap offers a rare opportunity to join a founder-led private equity firm at the ground level, contributing directly to the acquisition and long-term management of a business in an environment that values integrity, continuity, and responsible ownership.
