About This Role
Flashpoint is an international technology investment manager with over $500 million in AUM, focused on global technology companies founded by entrepreneurs from emerging Europe and Israel. The firm manages seven venture funds across three core strategies: Venture Capital, Growth Debt, and Direct Secondaries. Headquartered in London, Flashpoint operates offices in New York, Tel Aviv, Budapest, Warsaw, Riga, and Nicosia.
The firm is seeking an experienced Investment Associate or Analyst to join the Flashpoint Secondary Fund (FSF), which pursues a Direct Secondaries strategy. FSF targets growth-stage (Series B+) technology companies by acquiring shares from existing shareholders, including founders, former employees, and early-stage investors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform financial analysis and modelling with a focus on company valuations, investment performance benchmarks, and key financial ratios
- Create, review, and audit financial models for prospective and existing investments
- Source and evaluate investment opportunities across multiple technology sectors
- Conduct research on late-stage, high-growth technology companies
- Prepare materials for internal investment evaluation processes and investment committee presentations
- Participate in commercial, financial, and legal due diligence processes
- Monitor portfolio company performance against budgets and business plans
- Attend management and board meetings periodically
- Analyse strategic and financial exit opportunities
- Maintain relationships with portfolio companies and organise incoming information
- Prepare investor updates and portfolio reports
- Support fundraising efforts
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of prior experience in investment banking, consulting, venture capital, or a high-growth start-up
- University degree from a leading institution; CFA or equivalent is a strong advantage
- Very strong analytical and financial modelling skills
- Technology sector knowledge and passion for the technology investment landscape
- Excellent written and spoken English; international experience is a plus
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deliver results within set timeframes
- Ability to engage directly with senior stakeholders at portfolio and prospective firms
