Director Mergers & Acquisitions

encoviva is a rapidly growing private equity-backed platform of partner companies focused on the construction and real estate sector in the German-speaking market. The firm is seeking a Director of Mergers & Acquisitions to lead its buy-side strategy and manage complex transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the full M&A process from identifying attractive markets and companies, through deal sourcing, due diligence, and purchase contract negotiations to successful closing

- Proactively build and maintain a network among entrepreneurs and industry representatives in construction and real estate

- Assess national and international markets and companies using sector-specific KPIs such as order backlog and project margins

- Lead due diligence processes and build financial models and business case analyses for acquisitions

- Structure complex acquisition financings and lead negotiations with sellers and advisors

- Contribute to the company's growth strategy and post-merger integration into the group

- Work as a close sparring partner to the CEO, management team, and investors

Qualifications:

- Strong academic background in business administration, engineering economics, or comparable discipline; MBA/doctorate preferred

- Extensive buy-side M&A experience in M&A advisory or in-house corporate development in a private equity environment

- Understanding of the construction and real estate value chain with strong market awareness

- Excellent financial modeling skills and expertise in valuing and structuring equity investments

- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong conviction, combined with diplomatic negotiation skills
