Investment Director - Infrastructure (Nordics/Germany)

Our Client A well established fund with decades of successful investing is now looking to flex their muscles across Northern Europe. With a clear investment strategy, funds and the ability to take development risk, this presents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced investment professional with extensive experience originating and executing transactions across Northern Europe. There is a particular focus on the Nordics and Germany. Role Purpose Reporting to the Managing Partners, the Investment Director will focus on North European solar, wind, storage and hydro investments. The Investment Director will be responsible for originating, structuring, and overseeing transaction work for the new European investment fund and vehicles, ultimately taking projects for approval of the Investment Committee. Working on the full investment lifecycle, the Investment Director will be responsible for supervision and delivery of all stages of the investment lifecycle and will manage a small team of managers and associates. The ideal candidate is an experienced director with a network of contacts across the renewable energy industry. Responsibilities: The Investment Director is responsible for leading, supervision and delivery of all stages of the Investment lifecycle of the new fund for North Europe as follow: Maintain knowledge of the target investment market in order to proactively create or identify investment opportunities; Originate new investments through negotiating strategic partnerships and specific project pricing and terms and securing exclusivity agreements; Project manage due diligence with internal and external advisors working throughout, in close collaboration with legal, technical and accounting team members. Play active role in negotiation of key transaction documents including oversight of SPA, EPC, O&M and other core transaction documents; Prepare and present investment committee papers to Investment Committee and if required to the Fund Board; and Lead on financing of the project portfolio in the geographical area of interest. Take hands on quality control over financial models developed and papers by the investment team used for both portfolio valuation and project pricing and analysis; Oversee the closing and post-closing actions.
