Associate, Impact

CGC is a nonprofit investment firm that finances and originates clean energy, water, and resilient infrastructure projects across the United States. The firm collaborates with public and private sectors to bridge financing gaps and mobilize private capital into projects delivering measurable economic and environmental impact at scale.

The Impact Associate will play a key role in supporting CGC's mission by contributing to impact diligence, portfolio management, and market development activities. Working under the direction of the Senior Director of Impact and Investments, the Associate supports impact assessments and investment diligence, maintains portfolio performance data, engages developers and community stakeholders, and advances research informing CGC's investment and market development strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct impact diligence on prospective investments; support transaction scoring and impact evaluation processes

- Review project data, developer materials, and diligence responses; prepare impact memoranda and Investment Committee materials

- Contribute to frameworks integrating community benefits, economic outcomes, and GHG reduction into investment strategies

- Track and report on key performance indicators; prepare progress updates and dashboards

- Engage with developers, community stakeholders, and project sponsors to understand project impact narratives

- Support Customer and Impact team integration into CRM and portfolio management systems

Requirements:

- Experience in impact investing, clean energy finance, environmental consulting, or related field

- Strong analytical skills with ability to evaluate project impact data and financial models

- Mission-driven mindset aligned with CGC's values of innovation, accountability, and transparency

- Excellent organizational and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
