VC Associate – AI Focus

Bessemer Venture Partners (BVP) is a top-tier global venture capital firm seeking a VC Associate with an AI focus for their San Francisco team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop investment theses across the AI landscape

- Source startups and founders through proactive ecosystem engagement

- Conduct comprehensive due diligence (customers, products, technology, teams, markets)

- Make investment recommendations to the partnership

- Support portfolio companies on strategic initiatives

Requirements:

- 2-4+ years experience; startup operating, founder, or technical background preferred

- "AI native" with credentials in CS, mathematics, ML, or engineering

- No prior investing experience required; must be Bay Area-based (3-4+ days/week in office)

Compensation: $175,000–$225,000 base + performance bonus + shadow carry + co-investment options
