Associate, Frontier Fund

Toyota Ventures, a San Francisco-based VC firm with $800M+ in assets under management, seeks an Associate for its Frontier Fund(s). The firm invests in early-stage deep tech and climate solution startups globally, having backed over 100 companies including Joby Aviation.

Responsibilities:

- Generate deal flow and identify high-potential target companies

- Evaluate companies and present investment recommendations

- Participate in due diligence and competitive analysis

- Create investment memos for the Investment Committee

- Support deal negotiations and portfolio company initiatives

- Research industry trends and author market briefings

Requirements:

- 4+ years relevant work experience (VC or tech operational roles preferred)

- Deep tech knowledge with hands-on development/product management experience

- Strong financial modeling and Excel/Google Suite proficiency

- Active startup ecosystem network
