Principal Investor (Early Stage Focus)

Role Overview

B Capital Group is hiring a Principal focused on early-stage investment opportunities, listed via the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) careers board.

Key Responsibilities

- Source early-stage investment opportunities and lead investment analyses and decisions

- Manage deal teams, conduct diligence, and negotiate terms

- Provide high-touch support to portfolio companies across a number of operating areas

- Build subject matter expertise in emerging sectors and assess investment viability

- Perform deep due diligence; support portfolio companies through board meetings and advisory work

- Leverage firm networks for value creation

Qualifications

- Prior venture capital investing experience required

- 5-10 years relevant work experience

- Track record in enterprise B2B investing

- Deep startup ecosystem understanding

- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills

- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities

- Deal negotiation and venture terms expertise

Compensation (NY candidates)

Base range $300,000 - $600,000.
