About This Role

Ares Management is seeking a Senior Associate for its Income Fund Management team, based in Hong Kong. This role supports Portfolio Management and Product & Investor Relations teams across fund management and capital raising activities for Ares income-oriented credit strategies.

The Senior Associate will play a key role in the day-to-day management of Ares income funds, working closely with portfolio managers, investor relations professionals, and legal and tax advisors. Responsibilities include developing financial models and conducting portfolio analysis to support investment decision-making, preparing marketing materials and investor reports, managing investor due diligence processes, and coordinating with external advisors on legal, tax, and compliance matters. The role also involves supporting the team in prospective client meetings and contributing to new product development initiatives.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field and have prior experience in investment banking, asset management, or management consulting. Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling is essential. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese or Korean is preferred given the fund's investor base. Strong attention to detail, analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously are critical for success in this position.

Ares Management is a leading global alternative investment manager with approximately $450 billion in assets under management across credit, private equity, real assets, and secondaries strategies. The firm's Hong Kong office serves as a hub for Asia-Pacific investment and investor relations activities.
