About This Role

Ares Management is one of the world's leading alternative investment managers, with a global team guided by core values of being Collaborative, Responsible, Entrepreneurial, Self-Aware, and Trustworthy. Over the past 20 years, Ares has built a diversified platform spanning private equity, private credit, real estate, and infrastructure, with a deep commitment to fostering a welcoming and inclusive work environment.

The Associate Vice President, Asia Investment Operations (Middle Office) will join Ares Singapore's Investment Operations team, which supports investments across private credit, special situations/distressed, and private equity strategies in Asia. The team works closely with investment professionals to provide operational support and oversight across the full investment lifecycle.

Reporting to a Vice President/Principal, Investment Operations, this role is central to supporting private credit, special situations, and private equity transactions from an operational perspective. The position involves maintaining key centralized controls and processes while working closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including investment teams, banking partners, custodians, agents, outsourced service providers, and other professional advisors.

Primary responsibilities include delivering timely and efficient deal closing and execution support for investments across Asia, providing operational support through the deal lifecycle — including restructuring, reorganization, material corporate actions, and enforcement situations — and supporting the build-out of investing infrastructure across key Asian jurisdictions. This includes onshore bank account openings in markets such as India, Korea, Indonesia, and Thailand, as well as custodian setups and intermediary/broker platform configurations.

The role requires experience in investment operations or a related middle office function within alternative asset management. Candidates with exposure to private credit, special situations, or private equity operations in Asia are particularly well-positioned. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent transactions in a fast-paced environment are essential.

This position offers significant exposure to Ares' expanding Asian investment operations across multiple asset classes, working alongside a highly experienced global investment team committed to generating strong risk-adjusted returns for its investors and limited partners.
