Existing backers, including Professor Gao Bingqiang, Qiji Chuangtan, and Songhe Venture Capital, also participated, bringing the total funding to over 50 million RMB. These funds are earmarked for advancing core product technology and establishing market distribution channels.

Founded in 2024, Blue Emergence is the brainchild of Wu Saier, a former partner at Benmo Technology, a company known for its work in intelligent robotics. The company's inaugural product is an electric-assist fishing reel designed for saltwater angling. While still in user testing, this innovative device aims to integrate sophisticated robotics and AI capabilities into a traditionally mechanical product category. The global recreational fishing market is substantial, with an estimated 300 million participants annually, generating over $47 billion in spending, highlighting a significant commercial opportunity.

Wu Saier envisions Blue Emergence as a gateway to a broader marine technology ecosystem. He believes that despite the inherent technical challenges, the ocean presents vast potential for user engagement and market growth, far exceeding terrestrial applications once scalability is achieved. The company's strategic entry point is the electric-assist fishing reel, a product that, while mature in its basic function, can be significantly enhanced through the application of advanced motor control, electronic systems, and data processing derived from robotics expertise.

The core innovation lies not in automating the fishing process, but in augmenting the angler's capabilities.
