Chinese startup BXI Robotics has successfully closed a 10 million yuan (approximately $1.4 million USD) funding round led by DEMX (索辰信息科技). This strategic investment, with prior backing from publicly listed FRD (飛栄達科技), will accelerate the development of next-generation humanoid robots and fuel international market expansion. The company is carving out a niche in the rapidly evolving robotics sector by offering comprehensive Original Design Manufacturing (ODM) services for complete humanoid units, a capability few in China possess.

Established in 2022, with its core development team active since 2020, BXI Robotics provides a full-stack solution encompassing robot body design, joint motor development, motion control algorithms, and application software. This integrated approach allows them to deliver finished humanoid robots in as little as six months, a significant acceleration compared to the typical two-to-three-year development cycle for in-house projects. This efficiency addresses a growing demand from companies seeking to integrate advanced robotics without the substantial upfront investment and lengthy R&D timelines.

The burgeoning humanoid robot market, projected to see significant growth driven by applications in logistics, manufacturing, and elder care, presents a fertile ground for ODM providers. BXI Robotics differentiates itself by employing a reverse-engineering approach, designing components from the ground up based on the requirements of a complete robot system. This includes the proprietary development of high-torque planetary gear joint motors, boasting up to 800 Nm, and a 1000Hz motor control system.
