AI agent innovator Liner has successfully closed a Series C funding round totaling $38 million, bolstering its mission to deliver highly accurate and reliable artificial intelligence solutions. The significant capital infusion, led by LB Investment, saw robust participation from existing backers including Atinum Investment and CJ Investment. New investors joining the round are Korea Development Bank, Helios Private Equity, KB Securities, Daishin Securities, and STIC Ventures, underscoring broad market confidence in Liner's technological prowess.

This latest funding brings Liner's cumulative investment to approximately $71 million. The company has distinguished itself in a competitive AI market by addressing critical issues like AI hallucination, achieving a remarkable 95.3 score on OpenAI's SimpleQA benchmark for factual accuracy. Liner's proprietary search-specialized LLM has demonstrated superior performance compared to industry benchmarks like GPT-4o across key evaluation components, positioning it as a leader in AI search answer generation.

With a user base exceeding 14 million individuals across 220 countries, Liner has cultivated a strong global presence through a product-led growth strategy. Its suite of personal productivity agents, including Liner Scholar for academic research and Liner Lite for business applications, has gained traction organically. The company's significant user engagement is reflected in its ranking among the top global AI services, notably placing 30th in Similarweb's traffic rankings, ahead of notable competitors like Poe and Mistral AI.

Liner is strategically leveraging its extensive user data and a vast repository of academic information to expand into the enterprise sector. A key development is its partnership with Humeyn One, the integrated platform of Saudi Arabia's national AI company, Humeyn. Liner's AI search engine was selected after rigorous evaluation against global tech giants to power services for Saudi government ministries and major enterprises, highlighting the company's enterprise-grade capabilities.

The substantial Series C funding will be primarily directed towards research and development to further solidify Liner's technological advantage.
